“Heal yourself and heal the World.”  These are the words that came to me in a moment of clarity.  I’ve done a lot of self-work since then.  I have shed some bad habits, gained some healthier ones, and am standing on firmer ground.  Using dance as my vehicle, I found my way home.

I danced my way through divorce.

I danced my way through weight loss.

I danced my way back from addiction.

So this is what I mean when I say that I am passionate about healing through dance. 

I dance my way to a place of joy as often as I can.  When I do that, I want to dance more in order to share that joy with others.

By bringing joy to others, I bring joy back to myself. Like a rainbow roller coaster, round and round it goes! The good energy creates more good energy and generates a ride that brings both dancers and observers waves of healing serotonin-filled euphoria.

The beauty of it is that you too can channel joy through dancing!  All you need to do is to set your intention.  INTEND to embody joy and stay focused on that intention as you move.  Let everything you do emanate from that thought.  Simply – BE JOY.  Then see how you move, how it feels, and what happens.  Let your dance become a moving mediation. As you will see, what you focus on, grows.
